Abstract

This paper presents an automatic method for identifying the pectoral muscle in mammography images for mainly helping in the process of segmentation of the breast in artificial vision applications that require it. The method is based on the spatial domain image and filters through the use of the histogram. Showing digital mammography images to which is applied the proposed method obtained the pectoral muscle removal.
