This paper introduces a new generalization of the Kumaraswamy-transmuted exponentiated modified Weibull distribution by Al-Babtain et al. [2], based on a new family of life time distribution by Mansour et al. [29]. We refer to the new distribution as Kumaraswamy new transmuted modified Weibull (Kw-NTMW) distribution. The new model contains more than fifty lifetime distributions as special cases such as the Kumaraswamy-transmuted exponentiated modified Weibull (Kw-TEMW), transmuted modified Weibull, exponentiated modified Weibull, exponentiated Weibull, exponentiated exponential, transmuted Weibull, Rayleigh, linear failure rate, and exponential distributions, among others. The properties of the new model are discussed and the maximum likelihood estimation is used to evaluate the parameters. Explicit expressions are derived for the moments and examine the order statistics. The usefulness of the Kumaraswamy-transmuted exponentiated modified Weibull distribution for modelling reliability data is illustrated by using real data.
