For many years we have been plagued by the happy ending problem Erdös and Szekeres expected, but here’s what I’ve proved. Until now, it has not been possible to prove whether it is the formula they expected or whether it can be generalized. This time, I followed a rule and found a general formula that was generalized and completely different from what they expected.
