We find a necessary and sufficient condition for a set of two polynomials (of special form) in
n-variables over a Noetherian commutative ring to be a
Gröbner basis of the ideal
That can eventually be used to obtain faster
versions of the Insa-Pauer criterion (an analogue of
Buchberger’s criterion in the case of rings).
