Cotton stalk bark consists of cellulose and non-cellulose substances.
The non-cellulose includes hemicelluloses, pectin, lignin, and wax. In
this paper, alkali- treatment was used to remove non-cellulose
substance, and get and bleach cotton-straw bark cellulose fiber.
Through orthogonal experimental, it showed that the condition of
degumming was NaOH
at 100°C for 30 min. The morphology of
the cellulose fiber was observed by using JSM5800 scanning electronic
microscopy and crystallinity was calculated.
