In this paper, chemical adsorption kinetics of rare-earth elements
inside regular crystalline materials are discussed. An approximate
analytical expression of the non-steady-state doping concentrations is
deduced by using the Boubaker polynomials expansion scheme (BPES).
Results concerning the particular case of dysprosium ion are discussed and compared to some other
results concerning optical performance and which were presented in the
recent literature.
