In this work, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a
class of retarded integro-differential Volterra equations. The proofs
are based on the well-posedness of solutions to integro-differential
Volterra equations. As an application, we get 
of the wave equations with memory
effects
that satisfy the Dirichlet boundary conditions.
